Eyelid Surgery
After Dr. Alexander is finished performing the eyelid lift, a lubricating ointment will be applied to the eyes before they are wrapped in gauze. Applying ice packs to the eye area will also help minimize swelling that exists after surgery. Pain medication will also be prescribed to relieve any discomfort that is experienced throughout the recovery process. Typically, recovery from eyelid surgery may require a few weeks of downtime; however, many patients can return to work about a week after surgery. In addition, it is important to always keep the eyes protected from the sun to ensure long-lasting results.

Thigh Lift
A thigh lift is performed to remove excess skin and fat from the upper legs. Rippling and excess skin in the thighs can be caused by various factors, such as aging, gravity, and major weight loss. The procedure involves removing excessive skin in the thighs and then lifting and tightening the remaining skin. The length and shape of the incision depend upon the amount of excess skin needing to be removed and the patient’s skin texture and strength. When only a small amount of skin needs to be removed, Dr. Alexander will make an incision in the groin beneath the bikini line, and in moderate to severe cases the scar may be taken vertically down the inner side of the leg. The thigh lift is performed under general anesthesia. Recovery requires about three to four weeks of downtime before the patient can resume normal activities.

Abdominoplasty
The tummy tuck procedure, also known as “abdominoplasty,” can achieve a flat, firm midsection by removing excess skin and tightening the abdominal muscles. Abdominoplasty can improve the stomach area of patients with a bulging tummy, weakened and separated abdominal muscles, stretched skin, and excess fatty tissue in the abdomen. Stretch marks on the lower abdomen can also be eliminated if they are located on the skin that is excised, and a nicely toned midsection will result.
Nose Surgery
After the procedure is complete, Dr. Alexander will bandage your nose and place a splint to reduce swelling and movement. Some bruising and discomfort are expected during the first few days of recovery, but prescribed medication can help alleviate these symptoms. Although most patients feel good enough to return to work after about a week, the final results of nose surgery will not begin to become apparent for four to six weeks.
Body Lift
Deciding to undergo any body lift surgery is a balance of compromises; the resulting scar necessary for the excision vs. the benefits of the procedure.
Otoplasty
Otoplasty is done on an outpatient basis under intravenous or general anesthesia. After an incision is made in the natural crease behind the ear where the head and ear meet excess skin is excised. Once the cartilage is sculpted to reveal a more natural looking appearance, the incisions are closed with sutures.
