The North Shore Fire Department is responsible for providing fire safety and prevention services. The department has a staff of trained and certified professionals who design and offer rescue and emergency response services. It operates a mobile safety house to educate and protect the lives of children and individuals. The North Shore Fire Department offers We Have A Little Emergency Program for children. Its fire prevention bureau organizes and conducts fire inspection services for commercial and industrial facilities, apartment buildings, schools and churches. The department has a list of equipment, including fire engines, ladders, tankers, medical units and ambulances. The North Shore Fire Department maintains an academy that provides firefighting training classes for employees.
