Door Installation/Replacement
During the construction boom during the late 1990s and early 2000s, there were many builders that did not use pan flashings when installing the windows and doors. A pan flashing is a very important component that protects the framing if and when moisture enters through window and door openings.
Framing

A typical new stucco project starts with the installation of a weep screed where the foundation and framing meet. We install two layers of Grade D building paper to the sheathing, ice and water flashing tape, and stucco casing beads. Galvanized metal lath is then installed to prepare the walls for the installation of the stucco. Depending on the project, we can also integrate the most effective rainscreen technologies to ensure your stucco project is both beautiful and long-lasting.

Window Installation/Replacement
The first part of a typical new stucco installation is the installation of a stucco weep screed at the foundation. We then install two layers of Grade D building paper to the sheathing. This building paper is then sealed them to the windows and doors with ice and water flashing tape. We install stucco casing beads along rooflines, and on the sides and bottoms of windows. Foley Exteriors also ensures the proper kickout flashings and drip caps are installed. These are all very important components to your new stucco installation. When hiring a stucco contractor, make sure you won’t need to worry them!

Painting
Insulation
For a typical moisture intrusion project, we are first sent a moisture report from the moisture inspector or homeowner. Foley Exteriors studies the report and then determines the most appropriate repairs. Once the repairs begin, we start by removing any necessary stucco or other siding that surround the affected areas. We assess the necessary repairs. We ensure that there are proper pan flashings at the openings, flashings over windows and doors, and flashings at the rooflines. Foley Exteriors then repairs and/or replaces any necessary building materials, including repairs to the framing, insulation, and sheathing. We then reinstall the stucco or siding to the necessary areas.
