I always go to Kyoto in Eagan and never had a problem. I went to the one in uptown where I got the same thing I always get (salmon sushi hand rolls) and within an hour, got sicker than I've ever been! For more than a week I had the worst symptoms of obvious parasites! Couldn't go to work or anywhere!

I called and asked to speak with a manager, a male answered the phone said he would be him. As I started explaining to him about how a friend and I came in Christmas day...he rudely interrupted with "And"....I resumed my explanation how I've never been that sick and never needed to call about anything but this was bad!...He started telling me how some people have a low tolerance to some tuna,..I said what I got wasn't tuna and he still went on about it. I finally came across to him that it was raw salmon sushi and was the same thing I've been ordering for years...he then, in a very condescending tone, said to me that he would run it by "his" manager to see what he should do about this and was glad that I was ok now. Took my name and number, . It's been more than a week later and have heard nothing back!

I've spent more than $60 for a dinner that made me so sick, I had to take off work, lose more money and finally be treated as though I was the bother!...very displeased with this place and will not be going back! Also let everyone I know not to go here!

All You Can Eat Sushi!

General Info
Kyoto is hands-down the best sushi and hibachi value in the uptown area. It's one of the first indications that Minnesota sushi restaurants are starting to compete with each other on price points, which is great news for those of us who would love to stuff our faces with raw fish daily. The all-you-can-eat lunch $15.99 and dinner buffets $24.99 are inexpensive and include everything from super white tuna nigiri and rainbow rolls to soba noodle soups and salmon teriyaki rice. We suggest you enjoy this place before they realize they are essentially giving their sushi away.
