General Info: Established in 1985, ELCON is a privately held company that designs and builds control systems for the railroad industry. The company has a more than 28,000-square-foot facility. It offers a wide variety of products that include high-voltage cabinets, voltage regulators and control stands and cards. The other products offered by the company include kilowatt meters, burn out detectors, head-end power cabinets, transition controls and excitation control systems. ELCON has various departments that include customer service, marketing, sales and engineering support. Additionally, the company offers cable and wire harnesses, throttle and bearing monitor panels, and power supplies and converters. ELCON is ISO 9001:2000-certified and is located in Minooka, Ill.
