Was called today, 2 days after speaking with the owner, that they needed to cancel my puppy's first ever grooming appointment. I originally relayed to the owner that I was having my puppy professionally trained in Schutzhund, which is VERY similar to the training for police canine dogs. The owner told me originally that it wasn't going to be a problem. He just called me to tell me that he spoke with his "groomer" and that she claimed that my puppy was being trained to be "vicious", which couldn't be further from the truth. There are 3 tenets of training that pertain to Schutzhund Training, those are: tracking, obedience, and protection. The dog is trained to protect ON COMMAND by their handler only. His "groomer" also threatened to call off work the day I had her scheduled to come in if I was to show up with my puppy. This is definitely not a place to take ANY dog to, especially when a groomer is so ignorant of training a dog and when both parties, groomer and owner, make decisions out of fear. Fear of a PUPPY, and fear of being strong-armed by an employee.

Awesome place! Gary is great! We have taken our golden retriever to him for years and he always goes a wonderful job on her. She is an older job and he is gentle with her and she adores him! We wouldn't go anywhere else! ����

We have been having our dog groomed by Gary for years now and I couldn't be happier, my dog gets very nervous around people and other animals but Gary knew how to make her comfortable from the start. He has been so informative to my family on how to keep and maintain our "high maintenance" dogs hair. We will always be loyal customers!!

I have two dogs one large and one small that normally don't take well to other people and they absolutely love being groomed here. The owner is super friendly and this place is priced very reasonable. I will never go anywhere else again!

i love this store. I have been taking my poodle there for years and have never had any problems with the grooming. my dog just loves going. she runs to the door and runs to gary. I don't know why people leave nasty reviews. but I wanted to say he does a great job.

I also received poor service at Bark Ave. I brought my dog 2 times. The first time I was happy with her cut. The second time I was not. Probably one of the guys did it the first time and the other the second. I was literally scolded for not keeping my dog combed at home, which was not true. I left feeling humiliated and have not returned. I'm still on the hunt for a groomer who will make my doggie pretty without scolding me like a child.

While the grooming itself was ok, and just ok, the staff was rude beyond belief. We asked how long it would take, and when they closed, as our beagle's appointment was later in the day. They then started calling us less than an hour after dropping her off, asking how much longer we'd be. We got stuck at a train crossing on the way back and the man working yelled at us when we arrived. It was the worst customer service expereince we'd ever had. Apparently they wanted to close early and when we came 15 minutes later than they expected, that was unacceptable. Their behavior was what was truly unacceptable.
