Joe Mccollum is the worst atty ever! I lost a very simple custody case that should have been a breeze to win. When I first met with Joe he was very enthusiastic and determined. Once I paid the retainer fee I rarely heard from him again. He could never be reached and would take almost 2 weeks to return my calls. He had the energy of a slug. He didn't take the case seriously and didnt have our best interest. Meanwhile the defendants atty was on the ball working hard on the case while Joe was dreaming of retirement. He informed us 1 hour before court that we would be asked to take the stand. We werent prepared and basically walking in blind, while the defendants had been prepared and knew what to expect. Joe had no questions for the defendants, never brought up key points, while we were being questioned by their younger, eager, determined attorney. Before Joe, we had ample visitation with my child and after Joe, visitation was cut to less than half of what it was. He really tore our family apart, as now we hardly see my child and have a big attorney bill on top of it all. Joe is just trying to pass the time until he can retire. it doesn't even deserve 1 star but yellowpages made me add something.
