King Buffet

Purchased $50 worth off takeout for family Friday (4/25/15). Teriyaki beef sticks, ss chicken, beef with chin veggies, dumplings. About 25% of the chicken was fried breading with no chicken and the rest was very overcooked and stale with a funny taste. The ss sauce was awful..obviously watered down and the consistency of water, watery taste and weird flavor. Beef sticks were not edible..thick sliced and appeared to have been pan or wok fried possibly. Tried removing and cut with knife but it was literally like rubber and not chewable..very odd flavor. You get the gist.



Having eaten for years at Kings Buffet in Plymouth IN (one of the best chinese places ever) this was a huge and surprising disappointment. We were honestly VERY surprised at the degree of poor quality.



We called them assuming something was wrong..maybe a new cook or something.



We were then shocked that after explaining the degree of poor quality and that at least 60% of the food wasn't edible..their rep said we couldnt bring it back for refund or replacement food...but they would gibe us a 10% discount on our next order..seriously...!



It is very clear they are rewarming old food and watering sauces to save money...while refusing to replace bad food when they are called on it.

Scary part is that the beef in particular was (in my opinion) rancid. I didnt want replacement food anyway due to the odd smell and taste.



EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE.
