Reach Out and Read gives young children a foundation for success by incorporating books into pediatric care and encouraging families to read aloud together.

Annual well exam with your primary care provider is required and ALL medication management appointments must be kept in order to have medication refilled.

As of Monday, May 8th we are open at our new locations. The medical providers are located at 221-B Professional Circle, Morehead City (previously Dr. Klose's office). The behavioral health providers, Karen McNair, LCMHC and Kourtney Sloan, PMHNP are located at Carteret Ob-Gyn Associates at 3511 John Platt Drive, Morehead City.
Labor and Delivery
Bonnie was born and raised in Carteret County. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from East Carolina University she worked in the newborn nursery at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern. After 8 years as a nursery nurse, she became a labor and delivery nurse at Carteret Health Care. Bonnie received her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University in 2020 and is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She and Ricky have 2 children and live in Morehead City. Bonnie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, boating, sports, and vacationing.

Behavioral Health
Many insurance companies require preauthorization for behavioral health benefits. It is the patient's responsibility to obtain authorization and convey this information to our staff prior to your visit. Please inform our staff when scheduling if your child has been seen by another behavioral health provider in the past 12 months. It is important to bring all current medications, previous testing results, and behavioral health records to your first appointment.

Sports Medicine
Routine physical examinations recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics are encouraged by our providers for general health maintenance and education as well as disease prevention. These appointments should be scheduled 6-8 weeks in advance, especially at the time of year when school, camp, and sports physicals are in high demand. A sports physical should NOT replace your child’s well exam. It is not a comprehensive exam and doesn’t cover all the issues that are routinely addressed during an annual exam, such as vaccines and mental health screenings.
