The Parks and Recreation Department is one of the departments of the city of Moreno Valley in California that offers maintenance services for city s parks and facilities. It also provides a wide range of recreational activities, programs and services throughout the community. It maintains trials and park facilities including a senior s community center. It also maintains and operates sports fields and provides leisure and golf activities. The department also provides more than 195 programs and services for the youth and adults. Additionally, the department organizes special community events, including Youthfest, Jamfest, Tour de Moreno Valley and Halloween Haunted House. It also coordinates city s parades and family fests, and operates after school, elementary and middle school programs. It also assists nonprofit sports organizations in hosting regional and national tournaments. The department also provides information on the city's Web site and coordinates the production of recreation guides and city newsletters.
