Ervin's Auto Repair

Took 4 months to do original work and didn't even move car from where they parked it and could tell it wasn't fixed. Car was rattling and much louder than should have been. Then it took them another 3 months to fix after that!!! Totaling 7 months!!! Couldn't get ahold of them and if did they have run around!! Now not even a year later I have 50 cent size chips out of my hood and fender making car look like crap! And can't get ahold of them to see if it would be reprinted under warranty, even though I really don't trust it to go back. If they take care of my hood I'll think about taking this down, but if I were able to give less than one star I would!!

I'm sure that when people look for reviews on an auto body shop, they are concerned about the quality of the repair work and not about whether this company will tow you unfairly or not. For me, the auto body shop did fairly good work. I walked in unannounced to ask for an estimate and the mechanic on duty dropped what he was doing to take care of me. It took less than 10 minutes. Then they kept my car for an extra 2 or 3 days to repair damage that couldn't be seen during the estimate. They contacted the appraiser for me and were pretty easy to work with. The only complaint i have is that I had to call them to schedule the day to bring my car in (once the parts were ordered). I was expecting them to contact me. Then I had to call them to check if my car was ready to be picked up. So, communicating with them wasn't ideal, but definitely wasn't a deal-breaker. Other than that they do very good work. If your car is damaged, these guys will not disappoint you. As for their towing service, I cannot comment.

My son is a student at WVU and in his almost 4 years there we have met some really wonderful people in Morgantown. The only bad experiences we have had have been with this company, and we have had more than one. They were supposed to come by and drop off a parking pass for the lot behind my son's house, but they didn't show. Instead they came in the middle of the night and towed his car. They then refused to give it back unless he paid them $168. Another time my son's friends got there before they towed their car and Ervin's charged them $60 to NOT tow it. They are extremely disrespectful to the students and won't return my phone calls. Oh, and because my son got mad at them for towing his car, they have threatened to tow it whenever they find it. And they've actually threatened to drive around looking for it!
