Best care I've had in years very thorough and professional. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. Eyewear selection was huge and the lady who helped me did a great job explaining everything. Go here for all your eye care needs.
This was the worst experience I've ever had in 35 years of wearing glasses. They charged me over $500 for a mediocre pair of glasses and a routine eye exam. They broke my glasses and couldn't fix them. I had to go back several times to order new frames because they couldn't get the same ones that they broke. This required multiple return visits and I wasn't offered any kind of discount. I recently returned for an unrelated problem with my glasses and they had the nerve to charge me $25.00 dollars for being late to my appointment which was an honest mistake on my part. Go ANYWHERE else but here. One final word to the owner of this business. We live in the information age. Your shady business practices will catch up with you via bad reviews such as mine. The number of bad reviews and overall poor rating that you have bears witness to this fact.
Addendum: I posted this same review on Google to which the owner replied. He said "I understand you broke a part on your original frame but it could not be replaced as the frame manufacturer had discontinued that style. Frame companies frequently do that without any notice to us. Fortunately, we were able to select a brand new style and had new lenses made for you at no charge." It was his technician that broke the nose piece off of my brand new glasses not me. He thinks that I should be grateful that I wasn't charged to make new lenses due to an error that was entirely his technicians fault?! He also failed to mention anything about swindling me out of $25.00 especially in light of the fact that I had to return their multiple times due to his technician's screw up and never offered any discount whatsoever.
This is the most dishonest place I've ever done business with hands down. I hope that anyone reading this review takes my post very seriously and considers going somewhere else. This place needs to be driven out of business.

We have vision insurance through VSP and have a $10 copay for general vision exam. MY husband recently had an appointment for a general check up, he was having no porblems just wanted vision check to see if he needed a change in glasses or contacts as our insurance allows. During this visit Dr Stout proceeded to do tests on my husband without his permission or without explaining to him what he was doing. When my husband went to check out they wanted $40 co-pay and said the balance of what insurance would not pay would be billed. When he inquired about this they said that was the co-pay. Being the primary insurance holder I checked my benefits again(they always change at the first of the year) to be sure they hadn't changed that much. The co-pay was still $10. I called the office to inquire and they said this was not a check up but a medical visit. When I asked why they didn't inform my husband of this she did not have an answer but would have doctor get back to me. My husband goes to two eye specialists and only went to Dr Stout for vision test as our insurance allows. Needless to say Dr. Stout did not return my call. We have cancelled all future appointments and I will be informing both my medical and vision insurance of this instance. No wonder our insurance premiums keep going up. I would not recommend this office to anyone. I wouldn't even give them one star but this message wouldn't send without a star rating.

I am a college student at WVU originally from Indiana. I was having issues with my vision and decided to go get it checked out. The Dr decided to change my perscription...fine. I was told my new lenses would be there in a week. (I chose to just get new lenses since I liked my frame and they did not have and could not get the color I wanted.) A week and a half later I finally get a phone call and I go to pick them up. Just putting them on, I knew they were wrong. The Dr checked the lenses that were in my glasses before versus the lenses I had just received and they forgot to add the prism for my double vision. I have been wearing prism in my glasses since I was in the 3rd grade. I assumed that when the tech took my glasses from me and measured them for the perscription when I saw the Dr originally, they would catch that. No. The second visit, I was told that most techs do not know how to measure prism and they do not check for it either. But if the Dr would have measured them, this would not have happened. So, the Dr measured my original perscription again and we sent them off to the lab. They would try to get them there as soon as possible. Two weeks later I was back in the office. When they handed me the glasses, they were wrong. I had taken in the perscription from my eye Dr back in IN so they would have something to compare it to. The Dr had measured the prism wrong in my original lenses. (So I guess the techs aren't the only ones who can't measure prism.) The lab had also cut the lenses wrong so when the tech put the new lenses in, they were backwards!!!! Third time's a charm right? Wrong! I was told the third pair of lenses would be expedited so they should be there in three days. A week and a half later I called to ask where they were and was told they were there. I asked why no one had called me and she said she didn't know, she only worked the front desk. I go in the next day and hand them my glasses. After 5 mins in the lobby, the tech comes out and says, we aren't sure what is wrong but your lenses are not here yet and we are trying to find out why. I said that I had called the day before and she said they must have looked at the same last name, wrong first name. Great. So as I wait while they are fighting with the lab, I find out that the lab thought someone had sent them out...so they were just sitting there for over a week! I was promised they would be over-nighted but since it was so late in the day, it could be the day after, a Friday. The hours for Friday are supposed to be until 5pm. At 4:15pm on Friday I called and got the answering machine. I left a message expressing my concern for why I had not received a phone call about my lenses since I was promised them. No call back. Monday at 1:30pm I called and asked about them and they were there. I asked why I didn't receive them on Friday and I was told that they were done at 3:30pm on Friday and they probably came close to that time in the mail so they didn't have time to call. I went in to pick them up and although they were different, I figured I just needed to get used to them. I have been wearing them now for a day, and am so sick to my stomach I have to sleep to get it to go away. I also have a throbbing headache every time I put them on, along with close up things being out of focus. I called the office to see if I could get my old lenses back and was told that if the patient doesn't request they keep them, they are tossed. After all the problems that I had before, you would think they would have kept them at least till the end of the week! So now, I have to live with the wrong lenses for the next couple weeks until I can go home and get my real Dr to figure out what is wrong. I do have an appointment tomorrow to talk with the Dr but even then, to make another pair of lenses will take about a week...no matter if they were supposed to be expedited or not. By the way, my original appointment was the end of Sept and it is now the end of Nov.
