The optometrist appeared to be competent, but the guy who was assisting with picking out a new pair of glasses decided to attack me. I was asked to remove my glasses and then focus my vision on an image that was projected within a device that was held up to my face. He pressed down very hard on the bridge of my nose, and then repeated this behavior a second time. In his mind, I’m sure that behaving like a savage is acceptable so his actions wouldn’t be interpreted as being immoral. Inflicting physical pain on other people because you are a dumb animal is not acceptable for rational adults.
