Sam Thomasson, an accomplished electrical engineer, is the founder of Zounds Hearing. When Sam’s daughter Kate was 13 months old, a sudden illness destroyed most of her hearing. As a father, Sam was frustrated by the issues Kate was having with her hearing aids and made a promise to himself and to Kate that he would design something better. Over the next several years, Sam went to work in a lab he built in his own home and managed to develop over 57 exclusive hearing aid patents in the process.
