Prior to the installation of a dental bridge, the tooth (teeth) must be reduced in size to allow a proper fit. Once the teeth have been prepared, an impression is taken and the desired shade of the bridge is determined depending on the color of your other natural teeth. The impression is sent to a dental lab to make your custom bridge. While the custom bridge is being prepared, a temporary restoration is placed over the teeth. Once it is ready, the temporary one is removed and the permanent bridge is carefully cemented into place.
