        Bates Nursery & Garden Center is located in Nashville, Tenn. Family-owned and operated, the nursery was started in 1932. It offers a variety of plants such as annuals, perennials and aquatic plants. Floss Flower, Amaranth, Joseph's Coat, Snapdragon, Aster, Amethyst Flower, China Pinks, Petunia, Polka-dot Plant, Busy Lizzie, Jewel Box, Dahlia and Coleus are some of the annuals that the nursery offers. The aquatic plants grown by Batyes nursery are Sioux water Lilly, White Asiatic Lotus, Carolina Queen Lotus, Double Rose Lotus, Mrs. Perry D. Slocum Lotus and Perry's Giant Sunburst.

        Going to Bates Nursery is a real treat, almost a day trip out Whites Creek Pike. I love their selection of herbs and perennials. They are also very generous by donating leftover vegetable plants at the end of the growing season to nonprofits.

        Love everything about Bates Nursery, from their selection to service. It's totally worth the drive out to Whites Creek. Ninety percent of the plants and trees in our yard are from Bates.

        We found this nursery carries a wonderful selection of Monrovia plants but the prices are higher than expected. The quality of the plants is very good.

        Overall

        Love the locally owned bates nursery. There selection is second to none as well as their customer service. They even offered me a bottled water on a hot summer day ! It's worth the short drive to Whites creek to visit bates nursery.
