Ideal candidates for CoolSculpting treatment typically have discrete bulges of fat and are somewhat near their ideal body weight (within 25-30 lbs). Generally, obese individuals are not good candidates as CoolSculpting is not a weight loss procedure. The regions of body fat that we are able to treat most effectively include the abdomen, flanks (“love handles”), inner thighs, outer thighs, back (the fat pads located just below the bra-strap area), male breasts, and the area below the chin. Other areas, such as the arms, can be treated in select cases. A wide variety of applicators for the CoolSculpting device including the CoolCurve +, the CoolCore, CoolMax, CoolFit, CoolSmooth and CoolMini provide versatility to allow almost any area of the body to be treated.
