Sokho Thai Restaurant

I live only a mile from Sukho Thai in the Opryland area of Nashville.



I love good, authentic Thai food and have tried dining at this establishment several times, but will not go back. All times that I have been there, both the food and service have been horrific. The last time that I was there the waitress seemed grumpy and rude so I ended up leaving before I placed my meal order.



Even though this restaurant is close to my home, I now drive all the way to the other side of town when I want good, authentic Thai food.

Sukho Thai is a small family owned restaurant near the Opryland Hotel. The family is from Laos and they know Thai cooking. They offer a large selection of dishes from appetizers to beef, pork, poulty, curry, and seafood dishes. My wife and I eat at Sukho Thai at least 4-5 times a month. We have never been dissapointed with the food or the service. Their food is fresh, well prepared, and bargain priced. Lunch is a real bargain and the restaurante is quite busy at lunch with many of the locals who work in or around the area. They also serve wine and beer and bargain prices.



The restaurant is located next to the go kart track and does not look like much from the outside, but the inside is clean and nicely decorated. You can order your food with any level of heat or spiceness, including Thai hot, which is hot. I have seen other reviews that are very positive and one reviewer who things people from Laos cannot cook Thai food. This is absurd. That is like saying an Amercian trained chef cannot cook Italian food. If you are in the area you owe it to yourself to try Sukho Thai. Great for couples and families as well.
