Inferior products and materials. In less than 3 years I had to replace roof shingles and the heat pump. The roof shingles were noticeably of lesser quality than neighboring houses, and they were the only ones in the area that had to be replaced after a minor hail storm. The heat pump which was rated at 10 SEER ran constantly with an embarrassing noise that made one bedroom impractical to use, and finally wore itself out and had to be replaced. Tim barely got the 10 SEER pump installed before they were outlawed. 12 SEER or higher are required.



The propane fireplace logs are a vented system that sends what heat there is through the roof. The logs generate less heat into the room than the six 60 watt bulbs over the master bathroom. I plan to replace the logs soon.



The dishwasher which was probably dropped during installation still seeps water onto the floor after a half dozen attempts to repair it. I gave up using it quite a while ago, and will replace it someday.



I recently tried to get a HD tv dish installed. The technician gave up trying to figure out how the existing cable was installed so that he could install the new cable. Apparently the cable was installed then the house was built around it. The technician said he had never seen anything like it.



Attempts to reach Tim Alderman, "president" of AAAA Home Builders. Inc. prove futile. The only number you get is a cell phone voice mail which Tim rudely and unprofessionally chooses to ignore.



Tim is currently building several houses in the Hunter's Crossing subdivision of Lugoff, SC. Buyer beware!!! If you are desperate enough to have a place to live and buy one of his houses, I would get a professional to go over everything and make a list. I would find out where this guy lives so you can talk to him face to face. I would also get to know a good lawyer just in case.
