AAA Able Appliance Service

DO NOT HIRE THIS GUYS. TOTAL SCAM. YOU WILL FEEL AS VISITED BY THIEVES. The water dispenser in my refrigerator was broken, it started to dispense water and was not able to stop. The AAA technician came, checked the problem and told me he had to replace a water valve that costs $289 plus taxes. He also found that my garbage disposal was jammed. He unjammed the water disposal, 3 minutes max between diagnosing and fixing it. Then he replaced the refrigerator's water valve. Total time for the visit, no more than 30 minutes. Then, after the visit, I checked in the internet the price of the part (WR57X10051), you can buy it for $28, or $50 in an store. So, this guys charged me around $250 for the labor time (the bill was for $344 total). I understand that they charge by the half or whole hour, no matter they may spend 1 minute doing the fix (I also charge by the hour) but they made me believe the cost of the part was $289 and then told me that the labor was the one for $250. If you want to be robbed, hire them, otherwise hire honest service providers. By the way, I called them to report the issue and they just hanged the phone.
