Allied Waste

Been using for 18 years - awesome. They only charge $4 for recycling, give you a huge bin, rolling trash can, never miss, pick up extra trash at no charge - call if they switch days due to a holiday. Never had a problem - we put them on autopay and they are the best.

Allied Waste is one of the most horrible companies that I ever had to deal with. For over 10 years now I have been calling and asking them to please leave my recycle containers on my driveway, where they found them, after dumping them, instead of leaving them: 1) In the street, 2) In the street blocking my mailbox, or 3) On my lawn. I have spoken with their Operations Manager John Triezenburg, Route Supervisor Raymond Rossi, and Route Supervisor Patrick Blanchard on numerous occasions and have always been assured it will not happen again. These gentlemen have told me: 1) There is a memo on my account file about this issue, 2) All drivers carry work instructions about request of customers and 3) My name and address are on a blackboard in the supervisor’s office to remain the drivers each week of my request. The main issue is that the drivers only follow their supervisor’s instructions once or twice and by the end of a month or 2 I am calling back asking what has happen to the promise that they gave me. Their customer service representatives are also rude and condescending when you call them.
