Nice store. Has lots of good prices on food and toys for the pets. It's cool that you bring your pet in with you so they can pick out what they want.

Always great service here. Good local store that offers treats for your pets. I've always been satisfied here.

Last week I got info that they had a Ridgeback puppy in their store, and me being a ridgeback enthusiast, went in there to check things out. She was priced at $2000!! I acted like I didn't know anything about the breed and tried to negotiate. They came back with the craziest answers I could even imagine! That you can't find Ridgebacks in California and that pet ridgebacks go for at least $2500! I walked out of there and completely lost it seeing her, and ALL the other pups locked up.

I asked if they ever got to come out of the cages and they said during the business hours when people were interested. However, when I asked to see her, they said she had to stay in my arms and we couldn't put her down (which I understand). And they said they stay in those cages all night....mind you, they close at 6pm and open at 10am so you can do the math. All isolated and no comfort but the shredded paper.

I went back and got the puppy yesterday and started a fund for her so I can place her with her perfect forever home. The ridgeback community, among others, is absolutely SICK to hear about her story. Pet stores like this need to be SHUT DOWN. I named her Hope and she has so much fear. After raising almost a hundred puppies in my day, I have NEVER seen a puppy so fearful to come out of her kennel in the morning, to walk on grass, to learn how to play with my other dogs, to walk from one surface to the next. It is a tragedy and although I did support this pet store by paying their "reduced" price (since she had been there 10 days her price dropped), we have t stop places like this from existing and then puppy mills would be reduced.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY A PUPPY FROM A PET STORE unless it's to legitimately rescue them and work with them to re-home.

15 years ago I purchased a parti poodle from Animal Kingdom in Grover Beach. "Buddy" was the best little dog ever. Smart friendly boy who loved people. Buddy was not a puppy mill dog. He came from a local home breeder in Grover Beach. Many people locally will remember Buddy from his happy greetings in front of Starbucks in Arroyo Grande every morning for years. He along with his little Pomeranian sister Maddie and Yorkie Ridley (also from Animal Kingdom, Pismo Beach) were always excited to meet and greet people as they stopped by to say hello. 2016 we lost all three of these incredible fur babies. I can honestly say that our family does not regret one day having these wonderful companions in our lives. It is too soon to think about adding another pet to our home but as for Animal Kingdom and purchasing a pet I say THANK YOU for the 15 years of wonderful times that my family had because of Animal Kingdom.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE! They claim that their puppies are not from puppy mills, but that is a 100% LIE. Puppies that are advertised as AKC registered ARE NOT able to be registered. They will NOT give you any information about the parents. We made the mistake of falling in love with a French Mastiff and bought her on a whim. When trying to get her registration information, the owner REFUSED to supply us with it. We began to experience aggressiveness, a sign that she was ABUSED as a puppy before we got her. Please do NOT let yourself or your family fall in love with a puppy, as you will suffer heartbreak and ENDLESS troubles with ANYTHING bought from Animal Kingdom Pet Store. The owner is RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, AND A SUPPORTER OF PUPPY MILLS.

Have always been satisfied here. The owner is very nice and knowledgeable in the products and pets that he sells in his store. I would .recommend.

Service is great and the cute lil puppies are priced fairly. The products are good with a nice variety.

ATTENTION VIEWERS: Animal Kingdom has written 98% of the reviews by themselves by using a reverse SEO company to write these false reviews going back starting from February 13, 2011 till March 14, 2011 and still writing their own reviews. -- PLUS THEY ARE USING THE OLDER USER NAMES AND UPDATING THE WRITEUPS, SO YOU ARE BEING FOOLED HERE, IS JUST ANOTHER TRICK THEY ARE TRYING TO DO. You are being lied to about the comments posted here because they are hiding they're complaints, they do not want people to know what people have experienced, so they are continuing to lie to the consumers. For example if you want to know, just read each users names history down below then look into each users names comments, you'll find that they are saying a lot of the same thing or even cloning the comments but also writing false reviews on other businesses that have negative complaints where they are writing false reviews to push down the negative comments. Animal Kingdom has a history of complaints about them as all you have to do is Google them and there numerous complaints will show up. So everybody please be informed that Animal Kingdom is lying to you and everybody about these phony comments, if you want to write a real comment, read the last comment on the last page then look from that point on every review after is all positive 5 stars, so yes they are trying to hide those complaints from you. It is disgusting and horrible to lie to people like that.

I love this pet store. They have such a variety of cool play stuff for animals. There is something about going into these stores that get me every time. I want to buy everything!!! They have pretty good prices too!!!

Happy with services, staff and the items provided here. I come for the toys and pet food and am happy with it all.
