General Info: Ariane Luckey is a painter who celebrates the way light diffuses the landscape in color. She paints in oils and soft pastels and frequently paints en plein air which brings a direct and passionate response to a particular moment -- the light changes, hands get cold. Her paintings are expressive and loose in application, celebrating the moment when seeing and feeling become one. She tries to capture the transitory quality of light in a moment with fleeting impressions. Her goal is to share a simple enjoyment of the moment with the viewer.
