Due to their nesting behaviors, these ants can be a significant threat to structures. They tunnel their way through wood, leaving behind sawdust-like frass, and weakening the integrity of the structure. Over time they can even compromise the safety of buildings by eating away at important support beams.
Spiders
Termites
Termites are very destructive – if an infestation gets out of hand they can collapse an entire building. Their very sharp jaws bite off extremely small portions of wood (cellulose) piece by piece, 24 hours a day – causing billions of dollars in damages in structures within the United States every year.
Bed Bugs
True to their name, they like to make themselves home in your bedding: in the seams and tags of mattresses, in the box spring, or in cracks on the bed frame and headboard. Bed bugs are nocturnal, feed on the blood of their hosts, and can survive up to a year without feeding – which means prompt and consistent treatment is key to controlling their spread.
Fleas
Cockroaches
Cockroaches are notoriously difficult to kill as they’ve evolved over time to survive exposure to chemicals, diseases, and often even the most aggressive “squishing” with heavy objects. They are also typically very good at hiding – which can make identifying a cockroach infestation all the more difficult. Naturally, taking steps to prevent cockroaches from taking over your space is much more preferable to having to eradicate these resilient pests.
Silverfish
Bees
From Elaine (office personnel) to the actual person who came to the house to remove the bees, I will say that they were truly the best out of 3 companies I hired this summer. I referred them to 2 other friends that live in the freehold area and were having issues with bees as well. We will all be using Arnold's going forward.
Wasps
Wasps also have a skinny waist and are hairless, making their nest out of paper or in the ground (ie. dirt/mud)
Ticks
Mosquitoes
We are licensed in structural pest control, the treatment of wood destroying insects, mosquito control, integrated pest management in schools & food processing locations, and more! With over 70 years in business we’ve seen it all and are ready to handle any issue you’re experiencing quickly and effectively.
Flies
There are a multitude of flying insects that might make their way into your home or business and cause distress. These flying critters are not only an annoyance, but they spread dangerous bacteria like E.Coli, Salmonella, and Typhoid. Due to their ability to spread disease it’s crucial to keep flies out of your home – especially out out food preparation and service areas.
Centipedes
Beetles
Food-processing sites are uniquely challenged by pests like moths, beetles, flies, cockroaches, rodents, ants, and other insects. Close monitoring of food storage and preparation areas is of utmost importance – and in the case of infestation, it’s imperative to use the appropriate pesticides with precise application. The use of experienced pest control service professionals is therefore of exceptional importance in order to prevent contamination of your food products from pests and pesticide exposure alike.
Hornets
While most bees and other stinging insects generally act as helpful pollinators, hornets and wasps can be very aggressive toward humans if they’re disturbed – potentially attacking with their painful sting. Carpenter Bees can also damage structures, as they nest by boring holes into wood to lay their eggs. Call us if you see wasps, hornets, or other stinging insects congregating around your property for quick identification.
Yellowjackets
Moths
Pantry Moths are 8-10mm long and are often found in dry foodstuffs where they like to feed and lay their eggs
Stinging Insects
There are over 4,000 different species of bee that call the United States home, and few things can get your heart racing like the buzz of one of a bee, hornet, or wasp in your ear! Whether they’ve built a nest within the structure of your home, in the ground, or elsewhere on your property, controlling the action of aggressive stinging insects can be integral to maintaining peace in your space – and the integrity of your structures.
Gnats
Gnats (midges) can be 1/8th of an inch in length or smaller with slender, black bodies and lay their eggs in soil, in water, or on plants.
However, it’s crucial to be aware of potential dangers they may pose. Bats can transmit rabies, and if you’re seeing bats during the daylight it is possible that they are unsafe. The bat’s guano (feces) may contain spores for a disease that can harm the lungs and should be handled with care. Their droppings and urine have the potential to cause structural damage by seeping into walls made of sheet rock and particleboard.
Raccoons
Raccoons are easy to identify: they’re known for the distinctive black fur around their eyes resembling a bandit’s mask, as well as alternating rings of black and grey along their long, fuzzy tails. From a distance they may appear cute and friendly, but these primarily carnivorous mammals can be aggressive (and crafty) when they’re trying to fulfill their needs – potentially risking your safety in the process.
As humans take up more space by expanding construction, the natural habitat for rodents and wildlife is shrinking. They are adapting to their surroundings by taking up residence in man-made structures.
Mice
In all types of weather, wildlife is looking for a more comfortable place to live. In winter, they want to escape the cold. And in summer, they want to get out of the heat. For squirrels, flying squirrels and raccoons, your attic could be the perfect place for them. Rats and mice would probably prefer your basement.
Rats
An infestation of rats or mice in your home can leave you vulnerable to many hazards. Rats are especially dangerous: it’s not uncommon for them to bite humans, and they are responsible for the spread of diseases like rabies, rat-bite fever, hantavirus, or even plague.
Squirrels
My extended family and I have used Arnold’s Pest control for 20 years for pests like termites, skunks, squirrels, mice, and even rats, with great success. I’ve recently used them for bees, hornets and ants, also with great success. Arnold’s workers are always prompt, professional and honest. Having a long term relationship with local community trade businesses is good for me and the community.
