Children's Cars Car Donation

I filled out their online form on October 18th. They replied immediately and scheduled my car to be picked up in two days. That was pretty much the last of any immediate response I got from them. Starting November 9th I sent multiple emails and finally got a response on the 13th. They told me there was a delay because they were waiting on the "Title" papers, which I handed to the tow truck driver when he picked up my car, apparently it was in the car and no one checked. I received a call a few days later with the amount of my write off which was nice because they were able to sell my car. Then again a waiting game. On November 22nd I receive an email asking where to mail the Tax form. On December 2nd I email asking where the form was with no response. On December 7th I email again asking where the form was and receive a response telling me they swear they mailed it. I finally receive the Tax form with a post mark date of December 9th.



The free Hotel stay would have been a nice perk but forget about that. They never sent anything for that and have yet to respond to my email regarding that.



They seem kind of shady in the work they do. It's all about them making their share and the rest they don't care about. I would never use them again.



UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO THEIR COMMENT: I have every single email I sent and received from you guys. I didn't get anything about length of time to wait until Nov 22, over a month after my car was towed away. Just because the date on there was dated for Oct 19, I didn't get it until Nov 22. If I had received it, I wouldn't have been pushing. As for providing two addresses, yes, I did however I clearly stated that if possible, mail it to one address, if not then the other is fine. I got nothing at either address. I received no email with a receipt, all I received was an email stating it sold and that by no means is a receipt.



I'm not saying that this is not a worthy cause. But if the tables were turned and you were the one who donated your car and received no real evidence of your donation not to mention the fact that your car and pink slip are out there while you could still be held liable, how would you feel. Just like any other business, if I got poor customer service, I would not be likely to return.



I hope that this does not happen to anyone else who decides to donate to this charity. I do wish them good luck and again, the charity itself is a worthy cause.

We called ather places and told us that the tax deduction for our car was $ 500

They picked up the car in the same day. We would donate our next car to this charity

This company is great. The deliver what they promise and the transition to donate my car was so easy. What I love the most is the large tax deduction I received while also helping a worthwhile charity. You won't be dissappointed by donating to this charity.
