Daytime Transportation Inc

We came to Atlanta with a group of 10 individuals. When we were approached in the airport by what appeared to be an employee of the airport (wearing a Crowne logo), he advised us that our group would receive a discounted rate for such a large group. The normal rate was $16.50/passenger. We were later told this by another Crowne employee as well. We could not get a straight answer from anyone on what the actual rate would be. When we got in the van, we advised the driver that we needed to confirm the rate. He told us it was $16.50/passenger. We informed him that we would have taken a cab and that we based our decision to do business with them based on the discounted rate for our large group. We told him not to pull out until we were all clear on the rate. He pulled out and started driving despite this and selected to ignore our request. Once we arrived at the hotel, which was about 10 miles away, he held to $16.50/passenger. I called the number on the van to talk to them about the experience. He talked over me the entire time, never letting me explain that we'd been mislead. He told us the van driver was a contracted employee and that we'd have to deal with him. I tried explaining that his company was represented on the side of the van and needed to address this issue. He continued to talk over me and down to me. It ended with me telling him I would be calling the Better Business Bureau. He told me to do what I needed to do. So, I am. I'm advising those seeking reviews of the experience wherever I can on the internet. I'm not sure where we were mislead- the Crowne employees at the airport or Daytime Transportation. I can tell you that my experience in trying to deal with the company directly on the issue was less than positive. I wouldn't advise utilizing this company.
