Elder Geeks On Wheels

I have a PC at home that I wanted upgraded with a new hard drive. I didn't want to take my CPU to some shop to do it. Because my PC is located upstairs, and I'm an older woman, the thought of unplugging all the peripherals and hefting that heavy CPU unit down the stairs, then outside down the steps to my car was daunting! Besides, I was concerned about reconnecting all those wires and peripherals again after getting the work done!



I was also concerned about costs, as I'm retired on a limited income, and with the quality of any work I get done on my PC. I wanted someone with the technical expertise and the flexibility to come out to my house to do the work, at a price I could afford. And of course, I wanted the work done right the first time, so I wouldn't have the headache of starting over, and doing without my PC for days waiting for it to be fixed right.



I went "finger shopping" in the Yellow Pages on line for a "tech wizard" ... a specialist in computer hardware & software repair ... who could come out to my place. I found "Elder Geeks on Wheels" fairly quickly. Their Yellow Page advertising was fairly straight to the point, and somehow that business name just "grabbed me". So I gave them a call, and the senior consultant who took my call, Dwayne Eller, seemed very friendly and knowledgable. Better yet, he was available to come out to my place the very next day to take care of my hard drive swap-out!



Mr. Eller was very thorough in taking care of my PC, clearly knew what he was doing, and was comfortable with my asking a lot of questions as he worked. He gave me some good advice for coping with internet virus attacks as well, something that worries me lately, as I've had a serious "Close Encounter of the Worst Kind" with one of those "anti-virus malware trojans" already, and he had some great suggestions for dealing with that kind of encounter in the future. My newly reconfigured hard drive and PC system runs just great, and the Internet connectivity of my network is fine, something that was a concern for me because I have a wireless network set up that accommodates my roommate in another room also.



I think Elder Geeks on Wheels definitely provided me with great service -- in my home, on a very timely basis, and at an affordable price. They guaranteed their work, so I can call with any concerns I have regarding the work they performed. If I decide to have anything else done on my PC, including future hardware upgrades, I plan on calling them back. I think the quality of their work was "magical".

I didn't even get the blue screen of death. All I had was a black screen. Elder Geeks was right there. Retrieved all of my information and helped me get back up and running. Would I call them again. Absolutely yes. without a doubt. Service and Pricing was exceptional.

Elder Geeks rid my computer of a particularly pesky virus. This was after my internet security provider (a household name) refunded my money after four of their increasingly proficient technicians all gave up on it.



Elder Geeks were here within a couple hours, tackled the problem and prevailed. Really, it had seemed hopeless until the smart, cheerful, confident and professional "Elder Geek" got the job done in relatively short order. I'm a very happy customer.

I am in business for myself and my income is dependant on my laptop. I thought I was done and was going to half to bite the bullet and buy a new one with all new software.
