Oxid L.P., with headquarters in Houston, Texas, manufactures specialty chemical products for the rigid urethane industry and has produced its line of Terol polyester polyols since 1981. Oxid s line of aromatic polyester polyols is used in the manufacture of polyurethane and polyisocyanurate foams which are found in residential refrigerators, walk-in coolers, architectural panels, picnic coolers, spray foams, architectural moldings, buns, one-component foams, and in boards produced by the continuous lamination process. The company offers the broadest range of Aromatic Polyester Polyols available in the industry. Hydroxyl values from 120 to 350 are available as are products with enhanced functionality to address the most demanding applications. The high aromatic content of Terol polyester polyols improves flammability characteristics in both polyisocyanurate and polyurethane applications, reducing the need for expensive flame-retardants. Oxid distributes products worldwide from its manufacturing facility in Houston and its European sales and distribution center in Gent, Belgium.
