JT Askew Drywall and Plaster Repair

I needed some plaster cracks repaired in my 61 year old home, well after the free estimate was given I was told I would have to get it done in the next 2 days because after that they were booked for awhile after that, I responded that was fine to wait I wanted to wait until next payday anyhow unless they could do a credit card, they said they can do credit cards but its an extra 2% (which I believe is illegal to say).. They then said they would do the job in the next few days and I could pay when my paycheck was available and I agreed to this. Job was done the next day they did nice work but after arriving at my home they began to harass my wife for some cash down she went to the bank and drew some cash from our savings to appease them and stop the whining about the money the whole job was 400 and we gave them 200 up front cash. After the completion of the job they called at least once everyday to collect the cash I offered a credit card but they said no. Finally I had had enough and asked the guy what kind of business he was running if he cant make it without $200.00 of working capitol along with some other colorful things. I paid them the balance 4 days later.

I get the feeling the boss man that ran the business probably didn't know they were working the job so he wanted to pocket the cash. So my impression of the company is good work but probably not on the up and up and Uncle Sam may have fun with them in an audit but just a feeling. I may call the owner after I'm done writing this.

His crew arrived on time, performed the work very professionally, cleaned up extremely well and we're very pleasant. The wall was a special textured material so his crew had to spray on the popcorn looking finish, let it dry and sand it to match the wall. They did a superb job; can't even tell a hole was there.
