New Construction Helical Pile saves time and money over other deep pile foundations. The piers can be installed while digging for the grade beam. There are no spoils to haul away and can be instantly loaded. If the grade beam steel is built and on site and the concrete trucks available, the grade beams can be dug, helical piers installed, rebar steel dropped in place and concrete poured all in one day. Capacities can equal Auger Cast piles with no mobilization, mess or spoil removal.
Temporary shoring was required to excavate for the basement of the new hospital. McCloy was able to develop a system using CHANCE Helical Tie-backs with fencing. The system met the building codes at half the cost of sheet piling.
Landscape Lighting
Conventional spread footers were impossible due to wet and soft soils. CHANCE Helical Piers were cast into a grade beam under all the foundation walls and columns. Helical Piers were also used under the massive outdoor lighting in the outfield.
Retaining Walls
Tie-Backs using A.B. Chance. CHANCE® helical tieback anchors are pre-manufactured steel anchor elements consisting of a central steel shaft and one or more helical shaped bearing plates. CHANCE® helical tieback anchors provide additional lateral support for many retaining wall designs. A helical tieback anchor is installed by rotating or screwing it into the ground. Each helical bearing plate is formed into a screw thread with a uniform defined pitch. The tieback anchors are installed into the ground until the helical plates are located in load bearing soil. The tieback anchor is then attached to the wall face.
