The southern New Jersey climate and environment provide ideal conditions for Carpenter Ants. Statistics show your home is more likely to be damaged by carpenter ants than by fire or storm damage combined.
Spiders
ROSS treats all types of spiders. Call us or fill out the form on the right to have an expert evaluate your problem.
Termites
You may worry about a fire or storm damaging your home or business, but termite damage is far more likely to occur. Subterranean termites can eventually create the need for major structural repairs.
Bed Bugs
Our NEW! canine inspection team is the most accurate method of bed bugs detection currently available. And it only takes minutes for a trained canine to inspect a room.
Fleas
Since joining Ross Environmental Solutions in 2023, Lou has been making a mark as a people person. His favorite part of the job? Engaging with customers, making every interaction a pleasant one. Lou is not exactly the best of buddies with fleas. But that’s okay because it gives him the opportunity to provide top-notch service and ensure homes are pest-free.
Cockroaches
INTRODUCTION: The German cockroach is the most common of the cockroaches. In addition to being a nuisance, it has been implicated in outbreaks of illness, the transmission of a variety of pathogenic organisms and allergic reactions in many people. This species has worldwide distribution.
Silverfish
Silverfish are about 1/2-inch long with a uniform silvery color over the upper surface. They can be found almost anywhere, but prefer dark, moist places such as basements, kitchens, sinks, bathtubs, bookcases, closet shelves, behind baseboards, wallpaper, window or door frames, wall spaces, and sub-floors.
Bees
Bumblebees will sting readily in defense of the hive, but are not considered aggressive while feeding unless directly threatened. These bees can sting multiple times, and do not leave behind a stinger or venom sac. Nests are constructed in abandoned rodent or bird nests, large piles of loose mulch, or any similar sheltered area with enough insulating material.
Wasps
Hornet nests have a single opening, usually toward the bottom, where they enter and exit. It’s essential that the paper envelope of the nest not be broken during treatment, or the irritated wasps will scatter in all directions
Ticks
Pests are a nuisance that can cause damage to your property, transmit diseases, and trigger allergies. Some of the most common pests in Toms River include mosquitoes, ticks, termites, rodents, and cockroaches. These pests can cause significant problems for homeowners and businesses alike, but fortunately, Ross Environmental Solutions is well-equipped to deal with them.
Crickets
Cricket infestations are generally seasonal. Problems by crickets most often occur in the fall as evenings become cooler and crickets enter buildings seeking warmth and shelter. They’re attracted to lights around a building at night. Crickets can cause damage to fabrics or other materials. In addition, they make a chirping sound that can be very annoying.
Earwigs
Earwigs got their name from the myth that they crawl into sleeping people’s ears and tunnel into their brains. The long cerci, or clippers, on their backsides easily identify an earwig.
Mosquitoes
There are 63 species of mosquitoes that live in New Jersey. While most simply pose a nuisance, others can spread devastating diseases such as West Nile virus and encephalitis. And your pets are at risk, too. Our Mosquito Shield Program offers the most comprehensive Mosquito Protection and Prevention Plan in New Jersey. Mosquito-borne diseases can be prevented by stopping mosquitoes with our three-pronged Integrated Pest management program, that includes...
Flies
Call ROSS today at 1-800-PEST-CONTROL and we’ll customize an environmentally responsible Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program, specifically targeted to control fly populations. IPM for flies is a long-term strategy designed to keep pest levels below desirable thresholds through inspections, sanitation recommendations, biological, mechanical and cultural controls, exclusion, and the judicious use of materials if necessary.
Centipedes
When it comes to pests, Amanda’s our rescue ranger. Whether it’s a snake or a bird stuck on a sticky trap, she’s the one to call for ultimate liberation mission. Now, here’s a secret: centipedes aren’t exactly Amanda’s favorite pals.
Beetles
Following treatment, wait a day to ensure that the colony is destroyed, then scrape or knock down the nest. This will prevent secondary problems from carpet beetles, ants and other scavenging insects.
Hornets
Chris is not exactly fond of large hornets or wasp nests, but he takes on the challenge with the same determination he brings to all his tasks.
Yellowjackets
Jay ventures into the wild, resolving pest-related challenges with precision and finesse. However, there is one pest that does not win Jay’s Heart: the yellow jackets.
Moths
The indian meal moth was given its name after an insect scientist found it feeding on corn meal, also known as Indian meal. From wing tip to wing tip, adult moths measure from five-eighths of an inch to three-fourths of an inch long.

Squirrels
Let’s introduce you to Rory, our beloved in-house therapy dog, who joined the Ross household in 2018. Rory’s journey began in Georgia, eventually making his way to the Voorhees Animal Shelter, and it was love at first sight for the Ross family. In 2019, Rory graduated from Obedience School at the top of his class, a testament to his intelligence and good nature. Since then, he’s been a cherished member of the office team, accompanying Mom and Dad to work and spreading joy wherever he goes. Rory absolutely adores the office atmosphere, especially the free snacks and comfy sofa, which makes for the perfect nap spot. However, he does find it hard to focus when those pesky squirrels make an appearance, though he’s yet to catch one.
