I love the facility. i swim everyday, 2 miles per swim 15 miles per week at AFC not including the 10 - 15 miles at my other pools i facilitate. After swimming, i perform underwater swimming endurance in the 16ft pool bottom (4minutes per dive) on a single breath, i Free Dive as a hobby. the lifeguards are amazed at my abilities and sometimes they time my underwater diving. What is also GOOD is that i can wear a Bikini swimsuit, weather swimming or lounging around the pool, or just talking to other swimmers, and giving advise on technical skills on their swimming or explaining how I can stay underwater for over 4 minutes per dive. LOVE THE 16 ft pool. As a Regional Aquatics Director for USA Swimming,Diving and Synchronized Swimming in the Upper Bucks and Lehigh County area, i visit and belong to many Pools in the area just to see how pool operations run. Yours is VERY good. The only exception is that the Lifeguards are not in a swimsuit while on duty. For the most part i have seen Sweatpants with sneakers tied, Blue Jeans, etc. At our 12 pool facilities, our Lifeguards, WSI Instructors and Pool Directors are all in swimsuits while on duty with the color of the swimsuit identifying them as Lifeguards. (Red or Blue). Both the Men and Women wear racer style suits (Aqua Socks/Flip Flops) optional. We believe that a Lifeguard should be ready to go, not have to be bothered by taking off sneakers, socks, sweatpants etc. something to consider. I still love the pool, and the extra pool time to keep in shape and strenghten cardiovascular

I was a member of this gym for 3 years. I just participated in the pool area because of very bad back problems. The doctor recommended me to go. I had already had my excerise program and I was there for maintaince. I worked out in the olympic size pool which in my opinion was never warm enough for people with back ailments. This one day I happened to find the large pool exceptionally and started getting cramps in my legs. I then proceeded to go into the smaller warm pool. There was supposedly a class going on and I only saw 4 people all standing against the wall with there backs to me. The instructor then yelled out to me to get out of the pool that I was interrupting the class. I asked her If I could just walk along the edge because of my cramps. She kept telling me I was interupting her class, but she was the one interuppting the class by keep paying attention to me. There was a woman in the pool who I don;t even know, who used the most terrible language in my life. My husband was in the hot tub and yelled out to her not to curse me. They proceeded to call the police and had me taken out. The manager or whomever she was told me my membership was revoked and also my husbands who did not do a thing wrong. The instructor said that I wasn't a patient of hers so get out. Now I think that was unkind. If she would have acted nicer I would have left but the way they carried on I just refused togo. I will not be treated disrespectly. That is my right. I would not recommend this pool for someone with problems. The water is too cold in the first place. The people who belong to the club are very nice and I wouldn't say all the employees are nasty either, just some that they think their power went to their head. They are not looking out for your safety just their money.
