Dun Artie Salon & Day Spa

Dun'artie is a one stop shop for every service to make you feel amazing. I'm a military spouse and have had services at a lot of different spas/salons (we've lived in a lot of different places), and Dun'artie is at the top. In one visit I get my hair done, my eyebrows waxed, a pedicure, and if I'm feeling extra special I'll treat myself to a massage/facial or a spray tan before a special event. The staff here is always super nice and the stylists/massage people/estheticians don't move around a lot so you can build a relationship.

Great place to take a group or give someone a gift certificate too.

I was visiting New Bern and came to this spa for a swedish massage. The inside looked very nice and clean and I was excited for my massage until the therapist (do not know her name) took me into the massage room and decided as I am standing there in my robe for 10 minutes to try and sell me oils and softening wax add ons to my massage. She literally had me standing there as she opened and explained each and every oil she had available. Really? If I wanted that service, I would have booked it initially. When I finally got on the table for my massage she decides to have a conversation again. When I recieve a massage, I am a relax state, yet this therapist was a chatty cathy! As for the massage itself, the therapist barely worked on me, she did not know how to give a massage at all. Which makes me wonder, is she even licensed? I was very dissapointed as we all know massages are expensive. After this was expressed to Julie at the front desk, I was told she would let the boss know and she would call me regarding my experience, never got a call back. I am a New Yorker....every spa I been to in NY the services are superb. NC, get with it!
