Best company to work for. Lots of great benefits for employees and their families. Employees are compassionate and knowledgeable. Excellent, fast service with the best power linemen who go above & beyond in rough terrain and miserable weather. As a paying member, I have found GMEC to be less expensive than AEP.

Overall

I hate this company and wish we didnt have to use them .... AEP is so much better to deal with. They are a rip off and I wouldn't recommend anyone moving within their area at all. One they bill you and try to disconnect your service all the time. And you have random power outages that are related to nothing and takes them hours I mean hours to fix the probelm.

Middle-man

Essentially, they buy AEP's service to sell it to you for an increased rate. They also make you check the meter and mail them the reading. What do I pay these people for again? Let's review: They don't create the energy, they don't read your meter and it costs more. What a rip-off.
