Mr. Claveloux also received an award for excellence in Intellectual Property Law and was the President of the Hofstra Intellectual Property Law Association while in law school. Prior to entering legal practice, Mr. Claveloux worked as a music journalist and managed non-profit agencies.

Workers Compensation
Mr. Berman has litigated in state and federal courts throughout the United States and has handled domestic and international arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association and the International Chamber of Commerce. He also has successfully used alternative dispute resolution methods such as mediation and structured negotiation. Mr. Berman has litigated matters involving a broad spectrum of commercial issues, including matters involving: accounting actions, business valuation construction and engineering contracts, creditors' rights, bankruptcy and workouts, corporate acquisitions and divestitures, relationships among principals in closely held corporations, and not-for-profit corporations, employment disputes, environmental law, fraud and fraudulent conveyances, letters of credit and financing arrangements, license agreements, patents and trademarks, commodity transactions, products liability, probate proceedings, regulatory and administrative issues, RICO, stock grants and stock options, sales and services contracts and workers' compensation.
Wrongful Termination
Our clients enjoy working with us to devise creative and pragmatic solutions to their problems. We have extensive experience with all of the issues that concern them: collective bargaining negotiations, contract administration, arbitration, and mediation of grievances, union representation campaigns, unfair labor practice charges and grievance, and wrongful discharge issues.
Employment Discrimination
A broad range of employment discrimination provisions exist under federal, state, and local laws. We work with both employers and employees to prevent and remedy these issues.
Employment Contract
Mr. Berman also has represented clients in diverse commercial and corporate transactions, including: patent, know-how and trademark licensing agreements, stockholder and partnership agreements, employment agreements, agreements relating to equipment purchases and industrial services, engineering, procurement and construction contracts, acquisition and construction contracts relating to construction and renovation of industrial facilities, facility operating agreements, leases and formation of joint ventures, partnerships and closely held corporations.
Employment Litigation
A core component of our practice is the broad spectrum of activities that concern the relationship of employees to employers, both union and non-union. As a general matter, we represent management in connection with out role as general counsel to unionized charter schools and agencies providing residential and day habilitative services to developmentally disabled adults, but we also represent teachers and administrators, often in collaboration with their unions, in employment disputes against the New York City Department of Education. Whether representing management or union members, we recognize the importance of a stable workforce with healthy employer-employee relations.
Severance Agreement
As counselors and attorneys, we give advice to our clients on the full range of labor and employment matters. Employees, employers, and unions come to us with issues that concern discrimination and wrongful termination, employment and severance agreements, employee benefits, arbitration, mediation, and termination.
Sexual Harassment
We represent clients who believe they have been the victims of a civil rights violation, whether it be bullying at school or in the workplace, sexual harassment, violation of free speech or due process rights, or discrimination.
