        Dr. Jonathan Aviv is the Clinical Director of the Voice and Swallowing Center™‚ a division of ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP (ENTA) and author of the health and wellness book designed for non-medical professionals called "The Acid Watcher Diet: A 28-Day Reflux Prevention and Healing Program". He comes to the practice from Columbia University‚ where he served as Professor of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery‚ Director‚ Division of Laryngology and Medical Director‚ Voice and Swallowing Center at the College of Physicians and Surgeons. Among his many substantive credentials‚ he is the inventor and developer of the endoscopic air-pulse laryngeal sensory testing technology known as FEESST (Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing with Sensory Testing) and a pioneer in the use of unsedated upper endoscopy known as Transnasal Esophagoscopy (TNE). He is a graduate of the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University, and completed both internship in General Surgery and residency in Otolaryngology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and then added a Fellowship at Mount Sinai in Microvascular Head and Neck Reconstruction. In The Acid Watcher Diet, Dr. Jonathan Aviv gave acid reflux sufferers a pathway to healing, helping them identify the silent symptoms of acid damage and providing a two-phase eating and lifestyle plan to reduce whole-body acid damage and inflammation.Now, The Acid Watcher Cookbook widens the possibilities of what acid watchers can eat without repercussions.         Dr. Aviv is wonderful, caring and knowledgeable

        Dr. Aviv provided compassionate care reassurance and a unique ,holistic plan of care. He explained everything very clearly and I am very grateful for his assistance and expertise in early intervention of serious illness. He is brilliant but he is able to talk to each patient on their level and makes them feel comfortable. He Is very thorough and collaborates with primary care, GI, allergist as needed. Everyone at the practice was professional, helpful and friendly.

        Above and beyond words excellent

        I’m blown away how he in 20/30 minutes time top was able to diagnose what my problem is.
        Unbelievable beyond words I’ve been coughing for over 20 plus years and seen by 25 different doctors and still coughing.
        And here in ENT waiting area seeing this doctors brochure and boom such a blessing to finally be rid of this cough WOW WOW DOUBLE WOW

        The answers and plan I’ve been seeking.

        After months of suffering throat symptoms and being passed around by doctors with different ideas, none of which were helpful, Dr. Aviv gave me a diagnosis that makes sense and a concrete plan. He even showed me video of my throat and the places that were inflamed and where my constant “drip” was coming from. I left his office feeling relieved, hopeful, and very confident in his care and expertise.

        I have one complaint: the telephone and computer system. Terrible. Not in keeping with the office of distinguished doctors. More like a car repair shop. The doctors and staff are great, but they're losing patients because people don
        't want to listen to endless advertising. It's insulting.

        I left feeling hopefully I might actually get better.

        The nurse called me in at the exact appt time & when she was finished with gathering information from me & preparing me for the doctor, he came in soon afterwards.
        Dr Aviv showed me the images from the scope, which was very useful.
        He prescribed medication I told him I didn't want to take so I had to decline it the pharmacy.
        His other suggestions were new to me & hopefully will be effective.
        Dr Aviv is passionate about what he believes is effective & has a fine-tuned operation to make sure his patients know what is expected.
