Dental Examination

Crowns
Call our office right away and take these steps. 1) Do not touch the tooth root, but hold the tooth by the crown and gently rinse the tooth with water. 2) Place the tooth back into the socket as quickly as possible and bite down on clean gauze to hold it in place. 3) If the tooth cannot be placed in the socket, put the tooth in a small container of milk or saliva and bring it with you to your appointment.
Bridges
Implant supported bridges are used for multiple teeth when three or more adjacent teeth need to be replaced. The two outermost teeth are replaced with dental implants; these implants then support a porcelain bridge. This type of restoration is aesthetic for the look and feel of natural teeth and the stability dental implants provide rather than a traditional bridge.

Yes, many of our patients get dental implants after years—sometimes even decades!—of wearing removable dentures. If you’ve had dentures for a while, you may need bone grafting or a sinus lift prior to dental implant placement, but other than that, there is no reason why having dentures would impact your oral health and ability to get dental implants to replace missing teeth.
