ABOUT SUPERMUD POTTERY Supermud Pottery was started over 30 years ago as a working studio and gallery, and has been in its current sunny second story location on the Upper West Side since 1997. ​We offer classes in hand building, wheel throwing and glazing to adults and children of all skill levels. Classes consist of no more than 8 students to allow for individual attention from our highly skilled teaching staff. The relaxed ambiance of the studio encourages sharing of ideas and fosters creativity. We provide clay and tools and offer 24 hours of free practice time each week. In addition to adult classes, we offer kids classes, birthday parties and more. For more experienced potters, Supermud Pottery rents studio space with 7 day access in a great community of potters. Supermud's gallery is a multi use space that functions differently throughout the year ranging from individual artist exhibitions to our student holiday show/sale in December. Please join the mailing list for gallery announcements. You are welcome to drop-in to see the studio during our public hours, Tues-Sun 12pm-6pm.
