Dr. Ann Dolloff is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She grew up in Massachusetts, and is a graduate of Amherst College and the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She undertook her residency in Ob/Gyn at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY. Following the completion of her residency Dr. Dolloff moved back to Massachusetts and has been practicing at Newton Wellesley Hospital since. She joined Wellesley Women's Care in 2008. Her special areas of interest are in adolescent gynecology, obstetrics, cervical dysplasia, contraceptive management, and management of abnormal uterine bleeding. Dr. Dolloff sees patients in both our Newton and Walpole locations.

Her areas of special interest continue to be infertility and include high-risk pregnancy. Since 2003, Sandra has always delivered compassionate and genuine care to all patients whose lives she has touched.
Labor and Delivery
Maternal Child Health (Labor and delivery) located on 5NORTH– one (1) support person may accompany a patient in labor and the duration of their post-partum stay. A second support person may be permitted only while on 5N (L&D) until delivery. This person must leave before the patient is transferred to post-partum.

Cervical Cancer
Cervical cancer screening should start at the age of 21 years, the pap test should then be done every 3-5 years for most women. Some women will require more frequent screening depending on their history. If you have an abnormal cervical cancer screening tests, then more testing may be required. The main cause of abnormal cervical cancer screening is infection with HPV. HPV May cause changes in the vaginal, vulva or cervical cells. It may also clear on itâ€™s own and the pap smear may become normal again. Sometimes an office procedure called colposcopy may be needed to further evaluate an abnormal pap Smear. A colposcopy is an exam of the cervix using a magnifying device. Sometimes biopsies are needed to further evaluate abnormalities seen at the time of colposcopy. If the cellular changes are moderate or severe, then an excisional biopsy such as a LEEP or a cone biopsy may be necessary.

Ultrasound
In approximately 3-4% of full term pregnancies the fetus has its buttocks, feet, or both presenting in the lowest part of the pelvis. This presentation can be diagnosed by exam and confirmed by ultrasound. Cesarean delivery is recommended for the delivery of breech babies. In order to avoid cesarean your doctor may recommend exercises or acupuncture to try to get the baby to flip into the head down, or vertex, presentation. Attempting to manually turn the baby, also called doing an external cephalic version, may also be appropriate to try.

Dr. Katherine Johnson joined Wellesley Womenâ€™s Care in late August of 2021. She is a graduate of Rhodes College and earned her medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in 2017. She then completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Connecticut and has returned home to Wellesley to start her practice. She enjoys taking care of women of all ages and has a special interest in complex obstetric issues along with minimally invasive surgery including robotic surgery, management of abnormal uterine bleeding, and endometriosis.

Dr. Greiger's special interests are in Women’s health of all ages, obstetrics, infertility and gynecology. Dr. Greiger also performs advanced laparoscopic gynecology surgeries including hysterectomy, ovarian cystectomy, removal of fibroids and sterilization surgeries. Dr. Greiger feels fortunate to work with her colleagues who share her passion for great patient care. She is accepting new patients.

Laparoscopy
Laparoscopy is a type of surgery during which a camera is inserted into the abdomen through a small incision. If a procedure needs to be done, other instruments can be used through additional small incisions. Laparoscopic surgery typically allows one to heal faster with smaller scars, as compared to open surgery. Many procedures can be done by laparoscopy, and some examples are removal of ovarian lesions, sterilization, hysterectomy, and treatment of ectopic pregnancy.
