Mineral Springs Rehab Ctr

The following is my opinion and only my opinion. That having been said, I would be infinately more comfortable with a local veteranarian caring for a loved one than leaving them in the hands of the incompetant and incredibly rude staff at Mineral Springs( formerly the Clipper Home) of North Conway. In the 9 days my loved one spent there they managed to accidentally dislodge a drainage tube put in by a surgeon, requiring a trip to the emergeny room. I visited every day and usually found my loved one in bed. Twice I found this person after 10:30am still in bed covered with food from breakfast, hands and face not clean, unshaven for days and urine soaked. During the 1 meeting that took place for this individual the staff were unable to answer questions due to, what I believe is, sheer incompetance and poorly kept documentation after only 7 days. On the day of his release, or what i think should be called his rescue, I was loudly berrated infront of my loved one by a staff nurse for being demading. I have spent my entire adult life caring for people with disabilities, both in and outside of a nursing home setting. Despite the beatiful appearance of the building from the outside, the care recieved on the inside is a stark contradiction. Now, to be perfectly honest, I am not a fan of nursing homes in general, but this one surpassed even my lowest of expectations.
