Sent my guitar in for a fret level and re-crown. I have to say i was impressed with the fret job. However the website states that the re-crown service includes a set up. Well thats where it gets ugly. They tried to do a set up but completely failed. First of all they put my old strings back on. You never set up the intonation with old stings. Also there is so much fret buzz. Sure the action is low. But it sounds horrible. The neck is completely straight so I know there was no neck adjustment. Also the gunk build up was still present on the fret board which means they didn't clean and treat it like it says they do. On top of all that when I called to see how my guitar was doing they told me "We haven't gotten it back from out tech yet." To me this infers that they subcontracted my guitar repair request to someone else. Meaning that i was dealing with a middle man. Not impressed at all with the set up. Going back tomorrow to see owner and ask him what the deal is. I would have been happy to throw them an extra $5 to use new stings for the intonation adjustment.
