Laser Eye Surgery
LASIK (Laser Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis) is a laser vision correction procedure, or refractive surgery, that treats nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism by removing tissue within the cornea (clear front part of the eye). Reshaping the cornea allows light traveling through it to more accurately focus onto the retina in the back of the eye, resulting in clear vision.
