Stay away !! This guy literally stole well over $21,000 from his "good friend's" 84 year old widow during the most recent 1 year period. He charged my widowed mother close to $17,000 just for completing (inaccurately by the way) 2011 tax return form 1040 and a very small business form 1120. These returns should have only cost $5,000 (per two other reputable CPA). He highly exaggerated hours spent on "accounting." On top of this, he coerced and took advantage of my ailing father (suffering from dementia, cancer - Multiple Myloma - and sever pain) into an ill advised define benefit plan (annuity) with extremely high annual fees (another $24,000 over 4 years). 3rd Holland overcharged for his financial "services" - actually charging 1.6% of net assets over latest 1 year period when the quoted fee was maximum of 1.25%. Not only did he overcharge (excessive) for accounting, he caused our returns to be filed late adding another $1600 in IRS fees and MULTIPLE late IRS notices sent to my widowed 84 year old mother. Holland and Associates can NOT be trusted - he does NOT operate his business with integrity and talks down to his customers. This is how he treats his deceased "friends" widow withOUT feeling bad or believing he did any wrong. If he treats his friends deceased widow this way just imagine what his capabilities are for taking advantage of other less familiar "customers/victims." These are all facts and only part of the facts - These loses all add up to well over $25,000 and we have considered legal help but the costs involved are not cost effective. Do yourself a favor stay away and do not get in the same unbelieveable bind that we found ourselves in during a very diffcult period (after passing of our great father).
