Connecticut’s BEST Kept Secret of all restaurants
I have visited this establishment numerous times and I have enjoyed it every single visit! It is a family owned and operated business, and every employee is very polite, kind, and caring. The bar is relaxing, peaceful, and has a wide variety of drinks to offer. The food is AMAZING! One of the best tasting pizzas and gyros that I’ve ever had! This is by far Norwich’s BEST Kept Secret when it comes to restaurants! You have got to visit this upscale, well-managed restaurant…so delicious!!!

The pizza, fettuccine alfredo and the Greek chicken rice soup are all superb. However, every time a friend or I order a burger it is either grossly under or over cooked and once they sent the wrong burger out. Having said that, they're still tasty burgers and most of the wait staff are extremely nice. The owner is kind of a prick but, good food is good food so I go often.

Six months ago I started planning my engagement. It started with a day trip to three of her favorite wineries and ended with a picnic. I placed the ring on the grapes on the vine for her to find. I hired a photographer to capture the moment and had a Bluetooth device play our song when she discovered the ring. I also rented out the vineyard for a private dinner for two after it closed.
I wanted to have a meal prepared and delivered to us at Preston Ridge. I made an appointment to come in and speak with Steven regarding the menu and cost. He said he would get back to me but never did. He completely dropped the ball within weeks of the engagement. I found myself jumping through hoops at the last minute to find a place that would do this for me.
I'm a very straight forward guy, and expect honesty. If you didn't want to do the job, just say so. Don't blow me off and compromise the most important day of my life that I spent six months planning. I will never eat at Fat Cats again.

Just came from Fat Cats, the bar staff Shannon and Scott were good and always are. I had the grilled chicken, rice and veggies however 1 of the pieces of chicken was not cooked all the way raw inside!!!! You would think that the owner which I know was there because she was talking to people right next to us would offer to take the appetizer, drinks or maybe even the meal off. Nope, she did not even come over, paid full price and the only apology we received if you want to call it that was from a bartender "they have new cooks in the kitchen"!!!! Not happy at all and will be a long time before eating here again!!!! I work retail as a regional manager and I will tell everyone of my experience.

The food is okay. The cheesy bread and wedge salad are the best items on the menu. The drinks are great. Unfortunately, the owner hangs around a lot with this sour look on her ace, I've seen her attitude towards the waiters and waitresses, and it's just downright rude. After seeing that, we decided it's the last time we eat there. I guess the stank attitude must trickle down because NOBODY looks happy to work there, except maybe the bartender because he's nice and secluded at the front of the restaurant. They were out of steak sauce and ketchup when we went... Ummm Why wouldn't they drive a mile to Stop n Shop and get some then, so I got to eat a dry-arse steak sandwich? The music is nice and the architectural design is okay, but the freakin pictures of overweight cats on the walls leave MUCH to be desired. Dim the lights a little, get some nicer staff, better food, and ditch the freaking cats. This place looks like I'm eating at Grandma's - when they say FAT CAT they literally MEAN obese felines. Such a shame, could have had a real old timey 20s feel to it.

After mulling it over for the past year, my friend and I decided to try out Fat Cats. BIG mistake. We should have known by how empty it was on a Sunday afternoon. The food was terrible, our server was horrible and couldn't do simple math. And to top it off both of us have been sick for the past two days. That could be a coincidence, but somehow I doubt it. All I can say is DON'T DO IT!
