The sad part of this whole story is that we do actually like it here. Our intentions were to stay for a couple more years but that all changed when we found out how much our rent would be going up.



Upon moving in we were told that our rent would probably only increase $10-$20. Yeah right! Our rent will be increasing SIXTY dollars a month if we choose to sign another lease here, which we obviously aren't.



It's just the straw that broke the camel's back. We could put up with the stairs that are falling a part, we could sort of deal with the lying from management, we could deal with the rowdy neighbors and the $150 electric bill in the summer (we barely even ran our A/C)...but to ask us to deal with all of this and pay $60 more is ridiculous.



It's genuinely not worth the hassle. This is not the first time management LIED to us. Get everything in writing...or better yet just stay away. They won't care since there's another person in line to take your place and that's exactly how they feel.
