I stayed at this resort for a night for my husbands company business dinner on 8/23/08. The security guard who worked for this hotel, who I suspect was innebriated at the time (even though he was on the clock), asked us to keep it down because it was getting late. He later called the cops and falsely accused my husband and a few of his friends of physically harming him. I was awaken at 1:30 a.m. in the morning by two cops knocking at my door, interrigating me, and falsely accusing my husband of "puting hands on a security guard". My husband NEVER laid a finger on ANY security guard. The security guard at the hotel ACTUALLY came up to my room and identified ME as the women who was down in the court yard reeking havoc, when I had been lying in bed watching TV, and reading a book, for several hours. I have never been so humiliated in my life, and have never been treated so disrespectful in my life at a hotel. This hotel had the WORST service, and the staff acted SO unprofessional, and disrespectful. I would never stay there again. We were humiliated in front of my husbands boss and collegues, and were falsely accused of something we DIDN'T do. The security guard and police officer also went to the room of another employee that worked with my husband, who had three daughters, all under the age of thirteen, and woke them up at 2 in the morning, falsely accusing THEIR children of drinking. This hotels management and staff is a joke, and have no class or respect for their cliental. Take my word, and stay at The Inn at Avila Beach. That is a VERY nice hotel =).

i made reservations for this hotel. i then drove a 3 1/2 hour ride and get to the hotel at 12pm and was told i couldn't check by the manager. she said she had just fired one of the maids she had just came from a funeral and they were behind in cleaning the rooms. she then said i would be able to check in by 6pm. when check in is 3pm. so i went back a little after 3pm and was told that i was given a rate that wasn't correct. that it was a holiday weekend and the rates are more then what i had reserved online. explained to her the reservation gave her my reservation confirmation number. the manager never came out of the back off instead continued to yell at the lady at the front desk person. i then replied to the manager to come out and her and i can discuss what was going on. she never came out of the office and stated that the rate was wrong and she wanted a print out off my confirmation. need i remind her that i drove 3 hours and had no access to a computer. the front desk lady had entered my reservation number and the rate came up that i was quoted through their web site. then the manager insisted i called and made arrangements to have my room moved...which is totally false. i tried calling several times to see if my room was ready for check in but never got an answer just an answering machine. i have stayed in this hotel for the past 5 years and have only had 2 incidents which were within the past year since new management took play. the lady is rude. come to find out when i ended up not staying at the hotel she had 3-4 young boys no older then 16 cleaning the rooms!!!! that was also unexceptable and i was glad i changed my mind and spent the night at another hotel. by the way it's call mission inn and it is beautiful clean and close.....
