Lighthouse Motel

My experience here was an absolute nightmare! The lady that runs it, Vicki, is a scam artist. When I called to make the reservation she said she would offer a discount if we paid in cash because she wouldn't have to pay taxes on it. I guess that should have been a red flag. We got there late Friday and was checking out very early on Sunday. She wasn't in the office when we arrived so we called her and she said she left our 2 rooms open and for us just to go in (red flag #2.) We contacted her the next morning to pay up, in cash, because we were going to be leaving super early that night/morning. We were instructed just to leave our cash in the room when we left. LO AND BEHOLD, 2 weeks later we were contacted and accused of not paying!! She said she never saw any money (why wait 2 weeks?) she threatened us, called the cops, and all kinds of mess. Ultimately we paid for our rooms twice...2 rooms at 220 a night .....and the room wasn't worth half of the original price! It was very old and not kept up, very tiny bathroom that didn't even have enough room to blow dry my hair, TWIN beds....yes the rooms have 2 twin beds, and they were like sleeping on a pile of bricks...very Bates Motel-esk. Do not waste your money here ...or if there is a lack of options DO NOT take the cash price....you will pay twice!
