Chiropractic Adjustments
After a thorough evaluation, DeLuca Family Chiropractic will discuss your condition and various options to consider. Your first visit will usually last about 30 to 45 minutes. Your second visit will further address your chief complaint and any other findings. This will allow time for us to evaluate and create the best plan for your future health goals discussed during your first visit. At this time, we will start your customized treatment plan with your consent followed by a gentle chiropractic adjustment. Visits thereafter will take approximately 15 minutes.
Pediatric Chiropractic
As a child grows and becomes more active he or she experiences bumps, twists, and falls. By the age of 5, children have fallen approximately 3,000 times! Months or years after the initial injury, scoliosis or other spinal curvatures may develop. All children should be examined so future spinal problems can be prevented.
Flexion Distraction Therapy
Dr. DeLuca is trained in the technique known as Flexion Distraction. It involves the use of traction force to open the involved joint to relieve pressure on the disc and nerve. Our office has specially designed Flexion-Distraction tables, which are used to help alleviate pain associated with herniated and bulging discs.
Acupressure
Dr. DeLuca can diagnose and treat sciatica, sinus, and migraine headaches and other conditions through the use of Trigger Point Therapy. These conditions are sometimes caused by trigger points, which are made of fibrous tissue and toxins (waste from muscle). Trigger points are the areas within a muscle, which are tender to the touch when inflamed. Not all doctors of chiropractic are trained in Trigger Point Therapy. Dr. DeLuca has achieved dramatic results using this technique
Acupuncture
Dr. Anthony DeLuca is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician and completed his studies toward a diploma in Sports Chiropractic in 1993. He is also a personal fitness trainer and is certified in sports rehabilitation. Dr. DeLuca has recently graduated from the Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Oriental medicine in Montclair, NJ with clinical honors. He is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, International Federation of Sports Chiropractic, American Chiropractic Association, American Chiropractic Association Council, New Jersey Chiropractic Society, and Sports Council, and National Strength and Conditioning Association. Dr. DeLuca has also been a part of the medical team for numerous sporting events, including the Professional Bowling Association tournaments, the Garden State Games, and the Race for the Cure. He was also the Team Doctor for the Great Britain Team at Skate America 2006 and the Team Doctor for the Israeli Team at the 2007 World Skating Championships in Japan. Recently, he was the team doctor at the 2009 Worlds for both the Great Britian and Georgia teams. The championship was held in LA, CA.
