John's TV

I purchased a TV at a yard sale and was a little disappointed when I got it home and the picture was very dark, too dark to watch, however it worked! Instead of returning it I decided to call TV shops to get quotes to repair. I called John's TV and John answered. He told me to bring it in and he could give me an estimate. I brought it in and noticed he had many TV's he was working on which meant to me he had many other customers, he must be doing something right. He took the back off of it and he gave me a quote and told me it was most likely just a bulb and he could replace and clean it and it would be good as new! Honestly he could have told me it was a million things, I wouldn't have known but he didn't which made me feel he is honest. Although it was very reasonable for a repair on a 60" TV, I told him I wanted to wait. I took it home. I called Chris TV in Upland to get a second quote and they told me it was $25 to look at it but John never charged me this. I informed them it was just a bulb. They said it would be $10 less than what John quoted me and that is if they just order the part, that's not even to install it, that was more! John was ordering the part, installing it and giving it a good cleaning! Needless to say I took it back to John! Let me tell you my "new" TV works AMAZING! He even gave me a remote since mine did not have one for WAY less than I could have purchased one! If you want to pay more, you may want to go to the other guys! However John has been in business for 40 years (I think he said) and he clearly knows his trade! He gave me a warranty on his work and I am LOVING my big TV almost as much as my children love it! John was kind, professional and did a great job for a fair price! I highly recommend him!
