I did not have a problem with my service or my experience at this location. I thought the doctor was very professional and I got a good exam. I did have a problem with how they presented themselves and my insurance coverage. Before I came in I called them and asked them if they were a VSP network provider. Their response was "We accept VSP." I found out the hard way that this is code for "No we are not but we will accept their out of network coverage." So I was duped. It was my own fault that I fell for their cunning language. When I got my bill I asked why it was not what my coverage says it is their response was "This is what your insurance told us when we called." Not once did they say they were not a part of the network. I inquired more and they gave me a number to call my insurance. It was not my insurance number. I contacted VSP and apparently this happens all the time. Apparently they are known to do this. They use deceptive language to make you think you are in network and then refuse to tell you that you are not just to get your business. Well Standard Optical you have forever lost mine. Not just because I figured out your deception but because well you aren't in my network. Shame on me fore falling for it. But shame on you for doing it.
